Just follow these steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Personen_einrichten_und_App_installieren\"><\/span>1. set up people and install the app<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before you can get started, you need to set up the people in Home Assistant. The following steps are necessary for this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Create personal profiles<\/strong>Go to the settings in Home Assistant and select \"People\". Create a profile for each person you want to track. Don't forget to add photos to make the profiles clearer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Install the Home Assistant app<\/strong>Install the Home Assistant Companion app on people's smartphones. The app is available for both iOS and Android.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Store devices as device trackers<\/strong>Open the app and log in with your Home Assistant account. The app will now add the smartphone as a device tracker.
